Hello,

Apologies for the random email, but I'm wondering if someone could recommend a good school in SF to take courses in Web Dev. I'm making a career change, so I'm a near-complete newbie.

Thanks!
kevin

Why don't you check out the macromedia site for locations? They should have locations listed.

I went to Silicon Valley College, but I would't say it was great. I was pushing the Instructors since day 5. The Art Institute of SF I've heard is good, but expensive.

I guess I'm saying which school you decide on depends on a few things...

money
which part of the web dev (coding or artwork, or a little of both) are you going into
do you want to be independent, or work for a company when you get done with school
money

It is virtually impossible to do all things in web dev, so it will behoove you to choose a portion, and study it as much as you can. Quite a bit of it has to be learned from experience, so the school (IMO) really isn't that important. City College has a nice program for that matter...

hope this helps...

I'm sorry kevmo, I thought you were looking for classes on Macromedia's new Devnet. I read your question wrong and mistaken Web Dev for Devnet, silly me. :P
