The gradient in the tut blocks are waaay to heavy. Make it more subtle.

also, why do you have 2 blocks for the most popular tutorials, and a crapload for latest tutorials? It should be the other way around :)

I'll be honest - not a fan. I think it looks very amateurish especially if it's going to be a site that offers tutorials on photoshop - if I went there looking for tuts on photoshop I would leave just due to the site...(no offense in any fashion there ...)

To help you out I would highly suggest you spend more time on colors and layout than anything else. You've got the structure of the layout down but the design is lacking and you could do all of that in photoshop ... hence my previous point above ... go to www.pixel2life.com or other tut sites out there that offer many a great tut on many apps and see what you can find. :thumb:

I don't exactly get what you mean on your second paragraph... You want me to look for other great tutorials?

This is just a start... I might hire a designer later on to make it look proffesional.

No - I was just saying it looks like you need photoshop help - so go to that site and look up some tutorials on site designs in photoshop to try and better the look of your site ... that and to just get ideas on how a tutorial site is done etc. (I would hope if you are trying to make a site for photoshop tutorials that you yourself would know how to use it well enough to come up with a pretty decent design before you hire a "professional")

It's not bad, but I have to ask. What's going to be unique about this photoshop tutorials site, compared to the hundreds of others out there? It just seems like a really full field to jump into.

To tell you the truth I'm not a designer... I'm a coder... but I tried to come up with something you know... I guess it didn't work out that good. For now... I'm pretty happy with the design. At least it doesn't look that crappy... i think. And about the tutorials... I'm not going to write them...

Well I haven't came up with nothing yet...

Guys to tell you the truth... I'm going to sell this site maybe a month after it's launched... so I'm not trying to make it the best site ever. :puzzled:

Reading the first reply I say it does not look web 2.0ish. Not at all. There is a lot that needs work on here. It's a good start, but it's not original at all. You need to use that layout but spice it up to look like your own and to push it further to make it look unique.

No, but you think all sites that use "adobe" can't be put online? I mean.. is it a big deal? Just because their name is copyrighted... does it mean I can't say that word anymore? :m:
