View Full Version : How do I use vectors?

I usually use photoshop or fireworks, but now i want to learn how to use vectors. What good tuts are there out there? I googled for a bit, but couldnt find what I was looking for. Any specific ones that any of you used???

PS. Dont tease me.

Learn how to use the pen tool. Its very simple, basically you just plot two points, then manipulate it by curving it with the two 'handles' that will appear. Just draw around the outline of the shape you want to make (plotting points every now and then where a direction change/curve is needed) and join it up at the end.

Nick La is an exceptional artist and has written some tutorials for Adobe Illustrator. Find the tracing/vector ones- the same techniques can be applied for Fireworks.
