Looks like the footer comp #3 was a huge success/is a huge success! So instead of having an anitclimatic nothingness period, how about we start coming up with ideas before the polls and voting of this contest is done?

I was thinking a flashtoy competion would be sweet- like making the best useless eye candy toy (like linerider and those virtual pets). I know I would definately not be able to participate in anything that needs code- but I love watching competitions like this :D

What do you guys think would be a sweet idea for a new comp?

We gave a chance to the designers, now its time for the programmers. I'd like to see a best "flashtoy" competition as well. Something interactive and visually fun as well.

I guess other languages are okay, but how fun can python or php make things?

Stupidity aside, this might be better as just a battle in the battle forum. We don't want to break the bank with prizes. And by bank, I mean Kirupa's wallet. Unless we hold a fundraiser, maybe we should have a bake sale. Alright, I guess stupidity was still in play.

A ragdoll-only is a really dumb idea. Like the footer contest, people who arent top-notch designers still got to put their hands in the contest. As for the flashtoy, programmers can make whatever they want but you still have to give people who arent the best at programming a chance to enter regardless and a ragdoll might not be anywhere close to how much they can do.

Im leaning towards flashtoy (including ragdolls but not limited to) and flash game (no size limit, I just want to make something dam it lol).

I would like another graphics challenge. Maybe a photorealistic interior rendering. Or something graphical. Been needing a reason to do some 3d.

But anytime you can get Sen and some of the AS heavy hitters to battle that is always a joy to see.
