Another site for an client

im having problems with the menu in ie6 at the moment.

- some of the text colors contrast poorly with the background
- the text it poorly formatted and and font is too plain
- the initial navigation is a little difficult to get to
- the transparent images on the image gallery make the gallery look not organized and kinda messy
- the buttons at the center of the background are simply just hard to find
- the menu is just not very attractive

I'm sorry but the entire site is just kinda ....blah, it doesn't really set a good atmosphere for the restaurant.

yeah, splash page could be better. change the fonts mate, don't like em. on the other hand, layout is good;)

Like the layout, the pic behind it all...
Nothing fits together, tho.

You need to cover the image to give strength towards the main content at the time.
Some round squares should fix it.

The buttons are just plain ugly.
Simple pixel fonts and text might do you more.

the picture doesn't fit with nice relaxed atmosphere

ok this isn't perfect either but the site is clean, easy to navigate, the pics are good and the food looks fantastic in the pics as well...the pic of the shrimps have my mouthwatering :drool:

this gives you an example of what you should be aiming for...mellow, cool, relaxed and pics of great looking food and pics of a nice restaurant. the font as well is a good choice. the pics rotating from the food to the restaurant is a big plus as well. I know what the restaurant looks like now. Honestly if I was in London, I'd be there now.

I think you need to rethink everything to be honest. The fonts wrong, colours wrong, the big black and white pic of a napkin is wrong. Try looking at other italian restaurants and how they do it. Good luck.
