Oh dear, another iMac-ist. One day it will be realised that it's so much easier with a PC. Okay, you might have to get Vista first... ;)

Just a question to you mac'ers. I've got the iSight cam right, is it possible to use that with msn messenger? Haven't really tested it yet tho, but maybe there was a catch!?

Unfortunately, no. Rumor has it that Apple is making an iChat client for Windows though so you can video conference with Windows users. And Parallels is working on a solution for the VM. But at this point you can't video chat with Windows users.

You missed that?!
It was a hoot. He posted a pic as "Dizzy" and had myself and the rest of the random rejects were convinced he was a girl. It was clearly an unflattering shot.
It took like a solid month and a name change to convince us otherwise.
I've not been a fan of macs untill recently. A buddy of mine brought over his new lappy. I was impressed.

Is it possible to use the iSight on MSN if you run it in Bootcamp? But anyway, Video Conferencing PWNs on iChat so thats all that matters.

Star: Haven't tried iChat yet. Gonna try it when I get home, it sounds kool:D

Its okay if you and anyone you know uses AOL... If not its a little limited. But i use it to talk to my folks in New Zealand. For that its genius.

I've got a question for you guys with mac's and msn messenger;
Since the iSight cam doesnt go on msn I tried to use my DV Cam. The only thing is that I can't get it to work. I can't find any settings on cams, help text about it etc.
Do you know what to do?

Yes the only thing you can do is sit and wait for Microsoft to get off there arses and make MSN messanger for Mac the same as the one for Windows. Basically you can't use a webcam with MSN on a Mac.
ø
January 26th, 2007, 06:50 AM
Blah;P
Have they any plans on doing that?
ø
January 29th, 2007, 05:20 PM
*bump*
I found a software for mac called aMSN. It works like the regular msn, but it also supports webcam. The only thing is that it looks and works like poop:)
Just thought you'd all know;)

well, another person who bought into the apple "iLife". i dont understand the facination with people announcing that they have a mac like they have just been baptized.
i use both, mostly PC at home, G5 at work.
mac is nice, its just not a reason to celebrate.

I have a tiny despise for people who primarily use Windows on their Mac. Most of them haven't even tried OS X.. they just used it for a few minutes to get Boot Camp setup.

Don't be hatin'.
Of course there was a reason to celebrate. It's like I bought myself a new pair of nifty slippers, just a thousand times better. So I had to right?
