Hello Kirupians!

14 days or so after the Hrubes's site, we present you with an another site we've done. It's not perfect yet, still waiting for a next round of final touches and fixes (direct linking trough projects etc.), but you'll get the idea :)

Any comments are welcome. Thanks,
Matthew

Very nice, I like the design especially the thing about not too many words, one flaw is when I viewed it: Linux FireFox, somethings went out of screen, I think its to do with your scaling as I have a small view screen (3 system bars, 4 FireFox bars)

Not bad, a preview of what I'm going to be looking at or at least a description would be nice though. It's pretty hard to decide what to look at when looking at a pile of "Print" projects that all say the same thing.

Everything was spectacular! :thumb:

(the only thing I'd look out for is the actual portfolio pieces - the top bar for them with the close button - it gets pushed too far to the top and sometimes is not visible ...)

Great stuff!

Thanks guys :D

@Stratification: There was a suggestion to add small previews at the other side of the stickers, but it was declined for some reason. There are tool tips when you mouse over the project... and of course, most of the people here care more about visuals :)

@evildrummer, BoonDock: That is true, it gets off the screen, if your window is too small. I thought that I made it to go maximally to the top so you can close the project all the time... it will be implemented for sure.

There realy isn't a better feedback than... um... feedback :P

Fair enough on the response. I was just thinking of the situation in which a client is hurried in looking through things and wants to find the most pertinent examples. Only a small nitpick on a nicely done site though.

Only thing I can pick at is the flipping things that you mouse over- the shadow is a wee bit intense. Other than that it is great!

Really cool site. The pink sorta hurts my eyes, but that's just cause I hate pink. Hopefully, if you are (or should) loading the flip stuff through xml I think it would really enhance your site's functionality if you had title tags so ppl could tell what the work was before they clicked it. Like "Poker Company Name Website." Also, you should add stage listeners so your top nav moves when the browser resizes. Gj

the pink looks good here though. I have a question though:

When all the links to the projects are splayed out, is it random placement or predetermined?

Ah nevermind I s ee that is it random...very cool! The only thing I would say is script something so that two "links" cannot be right on top of eachother, like maybe a minimum of a certain ammount of pixels showing for each link or something I donno.

@master_phat: All the content is loaded from an XML file (excluding menu, which will change too). Are any of these (http://www.mumu.cz/tmp/tmnscreen.png) displayed when you view the site? It should show you a little description about any project.
Stage.onResize might be implemented too. It's more complicated, than just a menu position. I would need to recalculate all of the offset points to align the background properly. And BTW it's no pink, it's magenta :P

@RadioactiveChimp: Yes, it's random. One point from the screen is chosen and then positions of project icons are placed randomly near that point. There was also the idea of when you click or maybe hover a project, it would push the surrounding ones aside.
