too bad the wii remote doesn't work too well in a compact space (there's a tendency to want to swing it all over the place etc).

Actually looks simple to make.
Small screen, tho. I'd liked to see the possibility of connecting a larger screen in to substitute the smaller one if the chance arose...
That would make it complete. :P
