I'm a bit late with this, but anyone in here who watched the Eurovision?
OK, here I go:
AAAAAAAAAARRRRRGHHH!!! NOOO!! *SO* close! 2 points! 2 small points DAMMIT!!
That's better. For those that don't know, Turkey won. Belgium was second, with a difference of... right, 2 points. *sigh*
EDIT : Oh, and in your face England! :P Sorry, just had to say that.

Yes, we managed an amazing null points... :sure: We should have put forward a pair of lesbians... :)
Thankfully I missed it, as I was out watching atrix Reloaded instead. :P

Actually I don't even know which song Belgium had. :beam:
I zapped when the points were given. That's how I know the results.
Still, zero points! Heh! :P ;)

The Eurovision represents everything thats wrong with Europe today. A lack of grace, a lack of postive personal image.
I only heard the Irish and German songs. Incredible, that anything could be so bad. It's like they're trying.

I think the only reason Englih people listen to it is to hear Terry Wogan's drunken commentary. :)
PierceG
May 30th, 2003, 06:28 AM
And don't even have that. I mean, most Irish have the english channels, but I don't at home.
We've got this bland *** called Marty Whelan. He thinks the Eurovision's good. Not an ounce of irony in the man. He actually compliments the songs!

May 30th, 2003, 06:29 AM
Wogan rips the mickey something chronic. Sometimes he sounds like he means it, but then you realise he's being sooooo sarcastic. :)
I still preferred to go to Bluewater and watch Matrix 2 though. Keanu or Wogan? Ooo, no contest. :beam:

I agree. The songs are usually (read: always) total crap. The result was a travesty and it's all very political anyway. But I think that's what people expect from Eurovision: bad music, fake results.

Eurovision is so bad its good :P I like to watch and laugh and listen to Terry Wogan, without him I wouldn't watch :thumb: And yes England did so bad lol, I'd get more points than them!

I wouldn't, I sing worse than they did. :P I sound like a cat being dragged through somewhere a cat should not be dragged. Backwards.
But Wogan is the only decent thing about Eurovision. You can tell he's had a few drinks beforehand to cope with it all. :)

AAhha.. France got kicked in the arse during the eurovision... But some idiots (humorists) were presenting the show and they made fun of everybody especially the brits so it wasnt really serious...

Its a music contest for all of Europe. Each country has a song and then they all give out votes to each other. Its been going years!! Its mostly cheesy pop songs, but fun to watch :beam:

I like it here... I pay way too much tax on what I earn, but that's life. :sure: If you find a nice area with nice people then it's great. Our weather is weird, but that's half the fun and gives us something to whinge about. We like to whinge about stuff. It's a very British thing to do. :)

To live in Chatham? Not a chance. :) It's a real dump. Seriously. Full of chavs, it's horrible. The houses are falling to pieces, and it's a bad area in general. :)
I might take the money and do a runner though. :P

Windsor is near where I used to live - it's just outside of London on the M4. Think it counts as the county of Middlesex...
It's near Staines, which is where Ali G is 'from'. if that helps. :P
