Hey...thansk for the answer :)
Basically, I have a desktop application that queries my database.
I've been looking o optomisation tehcniques and this came up.
I've enabled caching on my database, but I'm kind of lost when it comes down to the more advanced 'features', like setting the minimum chache size etc.
My app only request small datasets, but they are requested frequently, I've read this can cause fragmenting of the severs memory and leads to performance issues as a back lash.
Are you aware of any good resources I coudl use to optomise this?

i don't know much about the advanced features either. i'll poke around over the next day and see what i can come up with. i'm interested to see how much this can impact speed.
