Xcode, free download from Apple. Interface Builder, in the same download. (http://developer.apple.com)
Glade (http://glade.gnome.org/) - gui builder for gtk+
Dive Into Python (http://www.diveintopython.org/) - free, online introduction book to Python (also available in print).
Programming Ruby: The Pragmatic Programmer's Guide (http://www.rubycentral.com/book/) - very good free, online book for Ruby (similar to above, has a print version, too)

Oh, how I hate JCreator! Eclipse is so much nicer... has all the same functionality, plus flexibility, extensibility, and beauty.

Also you may want to explain your tutorials step by step. They feel more like example source than tutorials.
