View Full Version : Review Time

I've been sitting infront of my quarterly review form for about the last 2 hours, and I'm struggling to fill it in with the required amount of padding.
It's bad enough, but we have to explain how we've 'lived' the Churchill Vision and Values over the past three months, examples, reasoning... Migraine! :hangover:
Why can't I just say "Yes, I did this task" instead of having to write a whole side on it? I hate reviews, I hate reviews, I hate reviews...
I guess this comes under the heading of 'creative writing'... :sure:

Theres nothing creative about Corporate mindsetting.
Creatively evil perhaps.....

If I had Valium, I would be taking them. It's just so... frustrating. You have to write ten lines where one will do. :scream:

You've written nearly ten lines on this alone here in the forum..... Just pointing it out.

Yeas, because I don't have to talk in Management Speak about visions, values, leadership, objectives or targets...
I can rant about them for hours, given the opportunity, but when it comes to actually doing it...

Just imagine what David Brent would say. Its what I always do. Then write it down. It really works. And they start asking you for less and less stuff....

Hey Kit,
Nali and I have to fill something like that out for one of our high school Web Design classes. I mean, what do you write for having created something like this over a period of few months: http://www.hoover.k12.al.us/hhs/BusinessTechnology/Student%20Life/SLScholarBowl/index.htm or this http://www.hoover.k12.al.us/hhs/BusinessTechnology/Student%20Life/SLSadieHawkins/index.htm
Needless to say, our quarterly evaluations were quite "interesting" to say the least.
Cheers!
Kirupa ;)

Just put on the Yorkshire accent and start doing imitations of the Churchill dog. That'll work wonders! "oi, Churchill...!" :beam:

Don't. Start.
The values we get marked on are made out of the word Churchill... Like this:
Courage
Honesty
Urgency
Respect
Continuous Improvement
Humour
Initiative
Loyalty
Leadership
You get marked on how well you've lived these points... :hangover: So quite frankly, if I ever see another one of those dogs, I'll BBQ it...

Well, I hope my former teacher doesn't read this, my friends I played world domination most of the time. The workload was minimal (as you can tell by the excellent ha!) sites and our job was to create and maintain a small section of the school web site. We did our work first...of course there never really was much work to do so we spent a good deal of time doing homework for other classes, playing UT, or clicking on the world =)
Sorry Kit for sidetracking this thread. Just wondering, how would one respond to "urgency"? I keep getting picture of a red light with a loud siren that goes off when a broken table tag is found and everyone runs over and tries to fix that one page (at the same time) =) Courage...well, somebody has to fix the table tag. Leadership - somebody has to lead the troops....to fix the table tag. Continuous Improvement - another table tag is broken so one can fix it later; except it will be done faster - thus causing improvement.
Kit, I always felt a chart (it doesn't matter what it is a chart of or even in the axes are labeled), just having a chart and random numbers (with crossed 7's) doesn't hurt too much :P
Cheers!
Kirupa :ub:
