Yeah, depends on what you are looking for. You could potentially turn message board software like vbulletin into a social networking site. There are actually addons that allow for personal pages.

I am hoping to have something that I could apply a skin to. Something that is basically working wireframes, which I could brand, etc..

so you basically just want a whole framework for free??? If so than good luck, if you list some features I can maybe find one but there would be hardly any point as yours would have the same features as millions of others and no-where near as any major ones.

Im not trying to get Newscorp to buy me, just want to make something for a nice group of people where they can make a profile and have a page. Thanks!
