Sliding Menu/Pages Help

the problem right now is this

if you first enter the site click the work button

the page comes up but does not slide

if you click any other button first then the work button the work page functions

any help would be great

And we are supposed to magically know how you set all this up and just start guessing at the bazillion reasons why it's doing this?
