ei guys,
its been a long time since my last post..anyhow..this is my first ever line art, and i need some comments on the details :-D its not really complete though.. still need some approval from other people ;P

you need to define more features. Right now there isn't much to critique, because there isn't a whole lot of defining lines :P

Yeah, it's coming along but a lot of her features aren't there. She has a lot of shape to her face, and the drawing doesn't reflect it. Looking good, tho.

You're moving in the right direction. Be careful not to go too heavy on her brow. Also, pay close attention to the eyes. The irises need to be larger and visually the same size. Keep going and post again when you've made some progress. Noticed you're taking some liberties with the hair. Don't lose the flow there.

ei thanks for the comments! :-D btw, i need some tips on the details on the face, im having alot of trouble with the nose and some lines connecting the nose and the mouth.. :-D

I suggest picking a light source, and lining in the features according to the direction of the light.:D

One other thing that might help you with this is kind of an exercise. Grab a few pieces of tracing paper and trace the image, the same image several times. The idea is to become as familiar with the subject. Then when you go to illustrate it in line form, you should have much less difficulty as you'll know where the trouble spots are and you'll have a feel for the shapes and features.
