My first try with Illustrator.

Now I'm doing his head with meshes so there will be some realistic gradients.

By the way, the jagged stuff behind the lines are the real image. I just overlayed the vectors above the original picture (that I took).

Looks pretty good man. I wouldn't make the back so round like that, even if it looks like that in real life. It's not going to translate over very well. Looking good though, good luck with meshes.

I agree with xxviii....remember, it's "Square"pants.....:D

Hmm Okay thanks I'll try making it more square-ish.

I took the picture this morning with the stuffed spongebob that I got from universal studios a few months ago :love:

Spongebob concaves in at each side. I'll try and grab you some model sheets if ya like :D will make it easier to work from :D!

I watched the Total Training videos for Illustrator CS2. After about 20 hours of just watching someone fool around with the tools, I made this. Guess those videos were really helpful.

What are model sheets? It's what the animators use as a guide to keep characters consistant :)
