Hey all,
Well I just finished a site and was hoping to get some feedback: VincaHealth.com (http://vincahealth.com)
It's 40% flash 60% xhtml and css, a compromise with a client who wanted all flash. It's one flash file that uses diffrent flashvars to identify which images show. I'm using Movable Type as the CMS for most of the site, including the blog. MT also generates the xml I'm using for the flash, so that 'the buzz' button shows the most recent entries whenever the site is updated.
I'll be adding audio / video clips from her various media appearances as well, and figure I'll probably have those run through the flash as well.
A few things that were not particularly my preference: the tabs at the top (she saw them on another site I did and wanted them), and text color, and the drop shadows. Only so much you can try to convince a client out of something, obviously.
Thanks!

Nothing? Not too girly, too flowry, too boring, too minimalistic, too perfect, nothing?

Hi there, try to improve the interaction. Like the flash menu at the left.
Nothing happens when you rollover the link.
My first reaction is..where i must click to see what. you understand me?
And i would give the tab's at the top less height..
Overall it looks good!

Thanks for the response :)
Actually most of the interaction is just in the html. I didn't wnat to put too many flash doo dads. The left 'the buzz' button does work, it just takes a second to load. I think I'll make it so the button only becomes visible after the xml has loaded, which might avoid the issue you're seeing.
Thanks!

It seems very good - but, the two halves don't seem to fit that well. You have a really clean left side contrasted to a considerably 'less clean' right hand side, nothing major - just an observation.
Keep going.

yes i see the buttons. but nothing happens when i roll over the button. Now it looks like a big button..It would me be a great difference when you change the blue into a bit darker blue when you rollover.

in safari the spacing between the about and contact buttons is messed up (very close together compared to the others) i'm not sure if this is a mistake you made or just with the browser though, i'll have to take a look at home for the rest.

the images on the left are nice and super clean... the softness of the fade accentuates this, but then they abruptly disappear.
the process could be
1. start loading new image
2. onload, start fading old image out
3. onfadeout, start fading in newly load image...
4. wait... and repeat
the flash to white is really jarring

I just noticed that. Sometimes I forget to check that sort of thing on a normal size monitor. :smirk:
I'll change the image loading too, thanks Jazgold.

I think the nav tabs overlap and in the "your health" section some text is out the text area.
If I could suggest something… it would be that the green text area disappeared, then the softness of the left side continues… or maybe try some transparency…
well those are my thoughts::bandit:

I think it would look better if you removed the white background where the 'content' goes on the right side and just have the green. It would give the site a nicer, cleaner feel.
