Javascript(I guess) Preloader

Hey everyone,

What I want to do is have a good chunk, if not all of my images to be preloaded a la lostinbutter.
Basically what I want to do is when the user enters my splash page is for the images to instantly start loading, and once they click on the link to enter that maybe a preloader in a pop up opens up, or it just takes you to a page with a preloader or something along those lines. I figure it would make it faster to navigate and what not.

Hmm, 28 posts asking where to get a Javascript preloader.

28 finds the preloader, but doesn't have time to check it out just yet.

Sykull <I>demands</I> 28 open it now just because he doesn't want to figure it out on his own (and even though he doesn't know if they downloaded the same file).


Going over that situation in my head I find it a bit hard to see why 28 should help you Sykull.

Wrong answer. "Open It" is indeed a command.

And I didn't know your thread was locked. Mods can post despite that so I got no notification of it being locked.

If you read my question there you can answer me here then.

And he didn't help me at all, so the question doesn't matter. I could care less if think I am rude. I just want to learn how to preload my images.

And as for that guy not helping, he misunderstood your question and thought you were talking about Flash. Perhaps if you clarified instead of getting mad he could have helped you with your actual problem.

So I help a lot of people. The amount of people I help each time I come by here has nothing to do with how long I stay or am here. I am here a few hours total scattered throughout a day, but I don't need to explain myself to the likes of you.

I love how you never answered my question about if you would help people who are as rude as you are.

so on a slightly happier note, I opened up that preloader doohicky and pretty much understand what to do, but I might have one question, not sure yet.
