Designer's Block!

I have reached a bump in the road that I cannot pass. It is designer's block. I don't have any motivation or any ideas to design anymore. There have been two paths that I have seeked.

Designing for others

The problem is getting the customers and getting them to pay an adecuate amount. I have failed in both. Also, many non-designers have bad taste and tell you to change stuff all the time.

E-Business

Trying to create a new idea. Something new always will work, because there will be no competition. But what should I make? What is not out there, and what do people need?

And now for you guys

So what do you web design for fun? I seem to like contests, especially this footer contest. Are there any more designing contests on other websites that reward prizes?

Same with me right now, no motivation at all.
I have like 4 sites kinda ready for myself, but I don't know which to take and I don't wanna change them and anyways... :)

Same here...
I think its the warm weather and people leaving their little homes they stay inside all winter in. All cuddled up cozy with their computer. Just go outside and look for inspiration.. study the habits of bugs.. look at a leaf.. find something that interests you and recreate it or something cool and insightful like that.

I had a designers block some time ago... I just couldn't make anything worthwhile for my own site, then it just popped into my head. :)

although I'm owndering whether I should redesign my site again :sure:

If i'm blocked on one project i jsut start another. Eventualy it passes and then i go back to it. If you dont' have another project to work on you are wrong. There is alwasy something you could be learning. Do some advanced tutorials or play around with photoshop and make some art pieces. Or liek 28 said jsut get the hell out of the house and walk around for a while.

I always get blocks when i work. I think it is your mind telling you it is tired of this crap and it wants to do ssomething else. So do jsut that ;)
