Easy Beginners Quesiton: Layouts and starting out?

hey guys, i've done this awhile ago and just having trouble refreshing which is odd.

i've designed these layout components in photoshop but im having trouble remembering how to get these images into Dreamweaver(or whatever really) and then using them to write over, put menus, content and such?

i hope my question is simple and u can guide me in the right path.

Make slices in photoshop and use save for web. Also, google on this there are loads of tutorials on this.
