its kinda hard to see.. can you zoom into the fire or make it bigger or something?
from what i can see it looks pretty good

you know I have this image in an 800 by 600, but for some reason I can't upload it... it's only 900k let me see if I can crop it...

OK here is a croped shot... what I am trying to improve on is the barrel effect that the distant light is causing and it is coming along well... I will post another render as soon as I get a few hours of free time on my computer.

ive tried lightwave but it's way beyond me... I mean the object handling is really weird, the way layers work and everything is so complicated... It must be a nice prog for people who are good at 3D.... I'll stick to good old C4D...

3d there are alot of LW folks out there... and some people are doing some really amazing stuff... I saw an image of a subway shot that I thought for sure was a reall image but it was done in 3D.. I will see if I can find a link for you...
mlkdesign thanks for that link... I saw an animation like that a while back.... nice tute as well but I am going for a more controled flame... I did the work on it a few days ago so I have what I need I just need the time to render it out, the computer is kind of tied up right at the moment... Lightwave is awsome program. you should open your back up dude.... don't stop... you just have to work with it......find the tutes on line it will come like everything else...
I am going to see if I can find that link for 3d- iva...

Yeah I have LW 7.5......I use it alot here at work but at home I find myself using max more....dont know why....I like each for different reason......BUt that pic is amazing
