Is anyone aware of an fAlbum alternative for wordpress that's equally good just not coded terribly?
Those of you aware of fAlbum are probably aware that the code is ridiculous and breaks with almost every theme out there. Does anyone know of a side project where someone has cleaned it up or perhaps just an alternative with similar functionality.
If you go to www.joshuajenkins.com/photos you'll see what I'm talking about. There's bad code split amongst like 15 files and it's just too much of an undertaking to fix.

How's it coded horribly? Looks like proper code to me....

In respect to wordpress, it doesn't mesh at all, regardless of your theme.
Also you'd have to see the back end and how it's set up. It's just messy. It's great software just horrible to work with.

hmmnnn maybe i could help but no promises... i've taken lots of crappy stuff and converted it to good stuff :P
for instance I've taken...
http://calendar.codewalkers.com/ this honkin piece of horrible coding and turned it into one of the bestest xhtml strict calendars in the whole wide world... and am in the process (with PR) of converting into a mini calendar as well  there's a few other things I've converted that were nightmares... but this one was one of the roughest. I'm not familar w/ WP or any of it's addons, but how bad could it really be :|
Also, as a note that calendar has great features i'd recommend it to anyone lookin for a php calendar :D. Just don't expect me to toss you my code :P

Haha good work on the calendar (I imagine). I'm set on the code. If I don't find an alternative I'll recode it this weekend or something, it's not that I'm incapable, it's just that I'm outstandingly lazy.

I'm using Flickr Photo Album (http://tantannoodles.com/toolkit/photo-album/). I spent just 15 minutes with it from download to "live". Not sure if it has all you wish for though.

Any chance I could see your implementation of it?

I didn't make use of all its features. It can also post the images in folders/categories, allows comments, photos could also link inside your blog (meaning they don't have to open in flickr), you can have it on a sidebar widget etc.

Holy crap your site looks amazing. Major kudos on that. Also thanks for the link!
Looks good on there, but I don't think much wouldn't look good on your site :P
