How do I create this cool looking multicoloured like effect?
Any tips, examples and guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Draw a bunch of wavy lines, probably use the pen tool, give'm some colours, gaussian blur it, and if you're using photoshop, try an Overlay blending mode, or just experiment.
The effect itself is nothing more than a bunch of lines with some blur and an overlay

use the pen tool to create a path like mlk showed here
http://mlkdesign.online.fr/dump/strokepath.jpg
and when you press that circle it goes over the path using whatever your current brush is, so for the dotted one increase the spacing of the brush etc.
then add a small gaussian blur and keeping your path make lots of ones different widths etc.

I think that you'll get a better effect tweaking the Nano commercial effect.

unfortunately it happens quite a bit man :(. Just make note of who does it and don't help them in the future, if you so choose. Anywho... aside from that nice little tut :thumb2:
