Death Notes Layout

Im designing for this death notes anime website. Death notes is a new anime show, its actually pretty cool. Anyway, here's the layout http://img216.imageshack.us/my.php?image=deathnoteur9.jpg i need MAD critiques be as mean and rough as you can. i only come to this site to post my work because Kirupa.com has some good talent, and good members :)

latest releases bar is kinda off.
i like the anime, colors look cool, nav is pretty ok,the deathnote font pwns(what is that?)
but for some reason, i think the bottom is too empty. good job for now;)

Theres some wierd background image behind latest releases chunk and the downloads... you can't see much of it and what you CAN see is impossible to decipher/understand what the truck it is. Its kind of orangey red. Ditch it

I say drop in the content and design it, then we can give you better critiques, because ANYone can design a layout, but designing the content is what counts

Aight thanks for the comments. i'll get straight to it. im thinking of re-doing the whole thing to make it more CSS friendly. The death note thing isn't a font, its the animes logo.

Wow, there's my stupid joke for the night. Anywho, it's not too bad. I guess for an anime site i could say good job, but it's clearly not finished...not to mention i dont like anime so i'm somewhat biased.
