WOW~! so simple yet so nice. the tear could use a bit of improment, maybe a bit of transparency. but othewise i really like htis!

Anybody else have an idea on how I can change that tear around? It doesn't look quite right, but I'm not sure what to improve :-\

the tear looks really flat.. it needs a much lower opacity and the really dark shadows need to go.. it needs to be a gentle gradient without harsh shadows like that, also you might want to add a little shiny mark thing on it.
cool idea though

also the shape of the tear does not fit the contour of the face based on the location of the tear. But yes it is a nice idea.
note: almost never are tears actually shaped like a tear drop.

yea, but I dunno how to make a real looking one. I modeled that one in 3ds max.

oooh...good since you did it in max....place that face on a plane (map it) then model your tear using polygons....follow then contours of the face.....then mesh smooth.....if you render it with the plane with a nice texture complete with refraction.....you can cut it out using PS then place it on your actual photo you are using. Then you will have the contour and the refraction from the actual skin tone to further prepetuate what you are doing. That is just off the top of my head so......you may have to play around with it.

i think it would look better if u just lowered the opacity
