Okay so can anyone tell me why on my dial-up modem all of a sudden i get kicked off a minute after dialing up. Its never done it before and its really annoying... :angry:
Any help is greatly recieved...

No i arnt on AOL, that would be even worse... but the problem has subsided for the mean while...

if it keeps up, call your service provider.
or it could be some one trying to call you. :)

yah A good idea is to put in the code that turns off call waiting if you have it before you dial up the number... for instance
*70, 555-5555
That's what I used to do back in the 56k days....
It could also be you accidently set your modem to kick out after so many min of downtime or automatically after a specific amount of time... that happens all the time.

Are the UK telephone systems the same as the american systems? just curious cause that may not work =) just call you're provider and tell them you're getting booted and you dont like that =) they'll help you (or should). =)

no when people ring me they just cant get through so it isn't that...
it was just doing it last night and being really annoying...
i will ring up though if it persists...
