re-done my personal site, comments?
http://www.far-site.co.uk (http://www.far-site.co.uk/)
i am no designer, hence the minimal look.
code page not done yet.
tutorials page not complete.
contact page not complete.
galleries based on kirupa tute.
are the pre-loaders working ok? occasionally they seem to take a while to appear, dunno why.
also the nav at the top is gonna be re-done when I get time.

I think this is very well put together site. I really like the load bar in the photo gallery.
One thing... increase the size of the onrollover area. It makes the black block kinda jumpy. Or if I could suggest. Have the black block follow the mouse cursor but snap to the button when the mouse gets close, or something like that...
Otherwise... perfect!

Techinically its great and with some revised colour schemes and some fancy-ing up and more attention to detail this has the possibility to get better.
Ditch the grey background on your content panels, go with blue

thanks for the comments guys, I have re-coded the easing on the menu slider and changed the colour of the content panel as suggested, and it does look better. i will do some more tweaking with the details when i get the other pages completed.

I would also revise your navigation, the bevel looks kind of lame here, instead try a simple top-down gradient of blue to light blue, and a very very subtle drop shadow that is centered with respect to the button it is drop shadowing.
Delete the black lines connecting the buttons

Wow, this is great.
I have no idea how you made those page transitions, but they are awesome!
