needs animation. what kind?

well it seems to me that the various color-names should be turning on and off in concentric patterns. It would be too much if they were at 100% opacity, more like 50%. So they would turn on and off in waves towards the center and only the center ones would be lit at 100% brightness. Know what I mean?
They could keep doing this until one of the areas is clicked-- and then they would stop. When you click on a name, the name would go off and the others of that name would qucikly go on and off until the navigation changes.

i don't like how the fonts are different sizes.
i also don't like the gap in the bottom of the "v" or "L" shape.

animations:
if it were me i'd figure out a way to make the words slide into place. since your theme has the navigation in the background perhaps they are all mirrors of each other and do the same as their parent does. however, if it were me i wouldn't make the navigation of my site the background as well.
