You know my site Designers' Hub (http://www.designers-hub.com). I thinks its pretty plain. Do you have any suggestions to spice up the site? I want a full remake over. Try to make it look more 3D, round and smooth etc.
I would like a site such as http://www.sony.com/beinspired/, http://www.digitalabstracts.com/ and http://www.k10k.net/... i like that kinda theme...
It would really help if you give me some suggestions.

You like minimalistic style of design.... Well, let me tell you something; those kind of sites are sooooooooooo hard to navigate.

Hey, what happened to the laptop and the fly ? :) I'd say, browse around, be inspired, personalize it, ...

dreamer, how about coming up with something new instead of following trends. Those sites you posted are nice, but they're played out.

I don't like the sony site, and especially not 'be inspired' Because that is the Siemens slogan since at least 2 years. And this is really lame..... :)

i like your current design, but I've heard a lot of people complain
about the navigation. I agree that you should just surf around
and get inspired.
At some point, you will be and knock it out real quick.

Anyways, I like the design, I am very minimalistic myself. As far as navigation goes, people expect the nav to have big signs pointing "NAV IS HERE!". hehe, look at my site, people complain about my nav and it's right in the open.
Inspiration is great, but total originality and craziness is even better.
That's just my two cents.
KIRUPA: Don't mention/whine about your little incident with Unflux again, get over it.

pixelmorder: About that unflux thing, get over it. He dropped it so I don't see why you can't. If you have a problem with him then ignore him, but don't slander his name in your posts just because you have a dislike for him.
dreamer: I like your current site although I admit it can be confusing to navigate the first few times visiting. I really don't know what you should do for the next version, but I do agree with EG that the sites you chose for inspiration are a bit trendy and played out. And I agree with unflux that you should browse the web and get inspired, or take a walk and get inspired :) I think you will be more pleased with your site if the idea came to you instead of people giving you ideas. We can always give ideas/critiques and such after the layout is created, but the layout itself is totally up to you.

oh.. I read it that "KIRUPA:" meant kirupa had left an edit for pixelmorder to read.. or did I misunderstand? :/

asphalt: I am with you, I don't know if kirupa left that message or not, it doesn't sound like him so I don't know. Either way, his message was edited to remove what he stated about unflux and thats really all that matters.

Pixelmorder:
I asked you once to change your custom title, which you complied. Now, without provication, you change it to something you know is relatively the same thing.
Either change it again to something reasonable, or find a new place to post...

dreamer: There is no conflict between kirupa and unflux. I am not going to get into what this was about because we are just trying to drop it.
asphalt: I don't think Phils post jumped the gun. It gets old and annoying seeing a member trash talk another member in almost every post they make just because they can't let something go that happened over a month ago.

Yes, but Phil thought that pixelmorder posted that message to Kirupa. Kirupa edited the post and said that to pixelmorder. That is why "Phil jumped the gun."

Oh, I didn't know Phil thought pixelmorder posted that message to kirupa. I actually wasn't even sure Kirupa was the one to edit that post (gotta admit, the wording doesn't sound like Kirupa) so yeah. I wasn't around yesterday so I guess I got a bit out of the loop ;)

I don't mean to be rude and i already said it before in the original thread made by pixelmorder, can't you just stop it finally? This is Dreamer's post and i really don't think it's right to switch to another topic like this. If you really feel like continue your discussion about dropping this tipic, why don't you just create a new threat named "end of pixelmorder vs. UNFLUX conflict" where you can argue about who said/edited what...
Dreamer: I don't really like the sony site since, as many people already said, the navigation is quite confusing and i don't like the colors. but the other one is quite appealing.
Peace

Poor dreamer another casualty of war lol.
I really think you should sitck to a minimal site. When i coem to a stie like yours i like it clean a simple. It makes looking through the content much easier. Some easier to follow navigation would be nice though. I some times found the navigation a little confusing on your site. Hope you get someting soon cause i loved the site before. ;)

These days in the design community such as k10k.net and Surf Station YOU the great people of the Web Wide Web are treated as numbers and as of unimportance. Here at Designers’ Hub ever single visitor is treated as people not numbers. You talk to real people. You don’t talk to auto responders. And Designers’ Hub answers ALL questions full stop. A site where every comment can chance the face of the site. A site for the people by the people. A site which does not forget the small people of the web. This is Dream of Designers’ Hub.
The new aim of Designers' Hub.
