cd-rom files

Hi everybody. I`m working on a cd-rom project. I`ve never done this before and need some help on how to make it auto-executable (both mac and win). I have a main .exe or projector that loads other .swf files that are inside respective folders. What files do I need? How do I record this cd-rom for both mac and win? Is there a specific software? How many caracter can I use in a folder name or file? Can I use capital letters?...
