Just so you all know, me and golgi have just beat my companies ridgid firewall and can now chat through IM! we used www.odigo.com. Its so cool! Me and Golgi Rule Nyah! (Golgi more cos she found it :) )

hey, its not like hes doin anything illegal. its just an applet on a website. i dont see why they would have a problem..
please edumacate me if i am wrong

IM programs can gererate quite a bit of network traffic. Not sure if that is the case when run from a web applet. The traffic results in an increase in router load, which can slow down the router. Although I do not think one person running an IM will slow things down, an entire building of people running IMs can slow a network way down, esp if it is using older tech. =0)

people in the office wont do anything, im the only one in my office who truely knows anything about computers.

My network admin is based remotley anyway, they have a team in wolverhampton controling IT for the whole of the companies UK base. I dont think they will notice me amongst the 5000ish peopl ethey have using the network. Heh, my company rules! I have got it so easy here:)
