img tag within object tag

hi guys,
can someone just confirm something for me?
i've embedded my flash file into a page. now if i put an img tag within the object, am i right in saying that if the user hasnt got the flash player, or has an old version of the player, then the image will be displayed?

No. However, you can put the *.swf in a table, and then put an image as a background in the table, and get the desired effect.
