This is a site I made for getting freelance projects but I never really added much content because I just got lazy about it. The animation is bad since I barely knew flash when I did it. The graphics I did in PS and were kind of rushed.

Any advice would be great, thanks.

Hi SuffocateMyMind,

Can you post some links to new work you've done? I quoted you because you said "the animation is bad since I barely knew flash when I did it". Some examples of new work would help myself understand what skill level you are currently at with Flash or design in general and I could make some recommendations.

Cheers - hetlicht

Well I actually just started learning flash about two weeks ago. I've been learning mostly actionscript and started making a simple shooter game just for practice. Here it is:

Thanks for taking the time to help me out.

Some friends with me said that your site was actually a template. You sure you didn't copy that? Because that could explain why there's not content.

When I made it I looked around at templates and got some ideas, but never bought one. Why would I play off that it's mine if it's not, when i'm trying to learn...

Try pumping the frames per second up. It just feels clumsy.

your photoshop knoweldge seems very good - as per the tut's section. perhaps dropping flash for htrml and concentrating on a sharp well design layout would be a better way to go?... not dissing your flash work at all, just noting that you have good PS skills, and the site might better reflect that in html.

Excellent point codemonkey, I agree with him, I think HTML and CSS would work much better for you. Also, I think that the techno, brushed metal look you're going for right now isn't working all that well, if you're thinking brushed metal go with the Mac OS interface's brushed metal look. ;)
