I just realized that Windows Defender Beta 2 has a handy new feature called software explorer, it is a lot better than msconfig.

You might want to post a screenshot just to save the lazy-at-1-AM types like me from having to run to a computer that has Windows Defender installed :)

Make that lazy-at-2-AM types. Yea its a nice program but nothing replaces MSconfig.

Well, you lucky ones at least have Msconfig. i just moved into my dorm and i have windows NT (MSconfig-less) :(

Hopefully it looks better than msconfig, I'd rather actually use a text editor over msconfig for the ini files...

Thanks for the heads up on this. I am going to have a look right now.

I was a little worried when I read the title. I thought maybe Vista had gotten rid of it somehow.

i tried uploading screenshots but well the jpeg files were bigger than 74 KB, but if you really want screenshots I can email it to you in the homepage of windows defender in the toolbar, click the tools button. Then navigate to Software explorer.

You can use the Imageshack upload feature instead!
