I've heard that the display on an LCD tv, when viewing an HD-disabled channel, can look fuzzy. Is this true? I'm seeing quite a bit of noise even with DNR enabled.

well first I want to see if all LCD's are like this when viewing non-HD content

yeah, ours is like that. We can have really, really crappy picture when we watch TV, but when I connect my laptop to it and shows it on the screen, I get crystal clear picture.... Or when I watch David Letterman :)

LCDs like many of the other HD tv's do have problems displaying SD content, it is an inherit flaw with these tv types. Only tube tv's will be able to display low definition content at standard quality.
