Yeah def the first one. The second one seems to have a hard light. The first one is more natural.

Index1 is far more realistic.

Surprisingly, I think #1 is too subtle. The shadow looks great for some reason in #2…

now if you go about asking how each and every filter on ps added looks, there would be a gazillion threads on this forum

Edit: i was going to reply, but then i realized how meaningless this is. come on! the two pictures are almost identical! if this is the pivot point of your website, you got some seeerious s**t coming on. Some times, you just have to look at your picture and say, yeah this is good and move on. Flip a coin and focus on something else.

Well now, i think overlooking the little things like this is what makes a bad designer. I definately noticed a difference between the two(1st does look best btw) and so does the average person. Although it may not seem to be a huge deal right away, eye appeal can definately make a sale, especially for the average consumer.
Good eye Stu_t.

of course i noticed the difference, but both looks like decks floating over wood. I'm not saying one should ignore this detail; i'm saying it's not something to spend time on, and most important, a detail one should be able to work out alone.
But i agree with you, it's the little things that count. Like Ludwig Mies van der Rohe said: God is in the details.

i disagree!!
attention to detail is important in my eyes! therefore trying to get the shadows right matters to me!!

again, its just my opinion, if the mods are ok with that then i am fine too!

Number 1, but do you really need a a thread for this, could you just ask a friend?
