it's pretty bland and i have no idea why it's in flash.

Liked it :thumb:

BUT, rollovers, the active section, and section changes are way too subtle - at one point I didn't even realize new content had actually been loaded. A slightly darker shade of font for the active section, for example, would go a long way ... and you can do these things and still keep the same look/feel you're going for with this site at the same time.

I like it too, the roll overs and loading is very subtle, give it a very peacefull look, but other than that I see no reason for it being in flash, a bit of html and css would work just as nice. I also think some colour in the pictures might compament the design a bit more.

Nicely done, I like it when I can look at a design and without reading anything I know what its about. Very clean and quite legal looking but I agree with the others about the gratuitous flash.

while 'peaceful', the site lacks appeal. There is nothing for me to really look at- no place to train my eye, and ultimately nothing for me to be interested in. I would perhaps add an intro or something to make it interesting.

Definately do not add an intro. Intros are bad in almost all cases.

BTW, at 800x600 in a web browser, there is no scrolling so you can't see all of the site... unless that is intentional

I hate purple, but it does go well here.
