Hi all.
Here (http://meisoc.com/main/icypenguin/eng/html/wip.htm) is the continuing saga that is my portfolio WIP.
Looking for more critiques on it. Thanks :)
Question: why is it so screwed up in IE? FIrefox looks fine, but IE screws it up!
Should I use a different stylsheet for IE in which I change the width/padding/margin settings for the elements?
Thanks!

Way better than you last sites but the top left backround thingy looks like it took you 2-5 seconds to do :thumb:
EDIT: I think your missing the dot of the i for 'icy' ;)

What on earth is that on the top left? That's absolutely hideous, axe it immediately. The rest is solid enough. Much better than the older version you posted but could still use some work on content layout and all.

The top left thingy I did in like 5 seconds yeah :D
Just somethjing there as an idea. Not sure if it's what I want to do, but I haven't really come up with anything else to liven up the header.
@pixel: I took out all the dots 'cause I don't like them. :D

I think you need a bit more space under your logo. It's looking a bit bare up top and crowded in the logo area. Maybe bring you logo up a bit and your intro copy down to balance it out? And maybe make your blue bar up the top a subtle blue gradient? I find that always helps to perk things up a bit (its a start, anyway).
I think its going to be nice when its all done =)

needs the dots.
of course it will suck in IE. IE never renders stuff properly. IE is the epitome of gay. I find that at the start of the css setting body, div, ul, li, p, span, etc margin and padding to 0 is useful. then u specify margins and paddings later for elemnts with id/classes.

Okay I - for the most part- fixed it up in IE; except for this (http://www.meisoc.com/main/icypenguin/eng/html/wip2.htm) (view in IE).
Is there a reason the subnavigation is moved down by IE like that? I know of the problem with replaced elements and line heights in IE, but I'm not using replaced elements in it, just two divs with backgrounds (that are the top and bottom borders).
Also, any suggestions on what I should do to liven up my header?
Thanks!
