Ah man dude, I'm sorry. I hope things go ok for you and stuff. I know how hard it is. Good job on the poster, it is nice that you have an outlet.

Ouch. I'm sorry. Really nice poster though. No errors I can see with it. Looks great and it definitely expresses how you must feel.

I agree with Apix. The typography in the repetitive text is weak. :-/

lol...thanks everybody...
I just don't know what to put below that picture...so I just slab some random typography since that day my whole brain is totally blank, and also, typography is the weakest point for my graphic design aspect. I only design typography twice in my life...need more practice.
Any suggestion that I can make my typography look better? I do like this poster and it will ended up in my portfolio too...

Interested to see if there are any typography suggestions....
My suggestion: Remove all the text besides the original "lonely", then add a singular silouette of a person in the bottom left corner, small.

That would look cool. I vote "Try That Yakuza!"

So, -dizzy-, you agree with Apix, Anogar, and Chris that the typography could use some work, but just like Apix, Anogar, and Chris you have no actual suggestions???
What is this world coming to???
revolution needed.

Yeah...I really need suggestion instead of just saying "Nope...dislike it"...some suggestion I will really appreciate...
I'll try your idea skiistari...
I'm thinking adding a singular silouette of a person in the bottom left corner, but may not be as small as skiistari think, I may still try to leave that typography on(it took me 2hours to design that typo...what a shame :\ ) but I'll darken it alot so it is not that striking anymore. Still, if people still urge me to take that away, I will take it away totally...
aww...I'm not that emo to take a picture of myself being unhappy, seems like have to do some drawings...
If there are any other easier suggestion, I'll be appreciate...

Okey im sorry.. here is some suggestions.
The text and all is ok, but I think it is to much. Or at least to large. The bottom part of the poster with all the text is like 50% of the poster. I think the nice picture and the things on the top half should be more like the "main" thing.
So I say you keep all of the text, but decrease the size quite alot and the opacity.. and also change the font to a more hand written type of font.
Also make the poster not so tall..chop it off a bit! so it won't be a big black area on the bottom half.
The blue lines.... I don't really like them. Maybe if you lower the opacity a bit and blur them:)
Just some of my thoughts.. at least it's some suggestions:D

Yup...I totally agree with -dizzy- since the typography(suppose to be background random crap) looks too striking. I'll turn down the opacity and decrease the size.
The blue lines, yeah...I toss out this blue lines and let people think how it looks, because it still have a sense of modern coolness. These blue lines are actually from "lens flare".
About the size of the poster, negative...I'm printing out in A4 or A3 format, there is nothing I can do unless I shift the whole thing slightly downward, or I add something like what other people said.
Angor said my typo is weak, I guess...according what he post in other threads, I may need to change the choice of the fonts, because my uni friend also said I need to...yeah...I've been really emo that day and I felt lazy too...but I don't cut my hands(Thanks goodness all of them are all indivdual textbox.)
Now what I need is an photo of an emo looking down for my emoish design, but I'm not emo...so...SEB!!!HELP ME!!!lol...
Yup...thanks for the suggestion

youve just way over done it. try a differt font. something wild and crazy. apply some blending settings to it, tilt it, change it... just do stuff to it so that its not the standard font.

I'll try to find different font, but wild and crazy just does not really suit this theme. The main expression is to be lonely, silent, calm...If I tilt it, making jumpy like wild and crazy, I'm not sure does it fits the emotion.
But...I may try to mirror it and see...

Print it out A3 or A4 and then cut off the excess at the bottom with an exacto knife and a large ruler! :D
That'll work just fine.
Remember, measure twice, cut once!

Negative...I thought about cutting it before, but I'm going to challenge myself with the spatial balance. I can still remain A4/A3...but if I get to use the space correctly, it will still looks good as a whole. Remember, that the emotion also include emptyness...
Gotta sleep...3:00am now...lol...

Right...I'm back on track and the poster are upgraded...:p:

The aim is to let people have a cold feeling when they view this poster. The emotion is calm but slightly chaotic, silent, cool...
1. Some fonts had been changed, "The emptyness" is no longer whollycrap ghey looking windows default font. Better font choice and more suitable for posters. (Nonono...that is not Impact either, it looks like impact but is slightly different. And also...don't tell me that I used times new roman in this poster, I'll seriously head shot ya...)
2.The typo which everybody hates had been greatly reduced the opacity and size. Looks more elegant this time. Thanks to dizzy giving me this idea...
3.Played around some spatial balance, this time looks more balanced than the previous poster. Yup...no longer ugly typo which took away 50% of the poster.
4.Ugly lines are no more, well...the lines are still there, but their opacity had been reduced. Looks more cool this time. More like a watermark background decorations.
5.Fixed the problem for that fog effect for the title, no longer ugly cuts.

Pretty cool, I like the shiny, crackled 'Lonely' Text, maybe have some more airbrushed misty kinda sttuff around the bottom to get rid of the empty space and add a mysterious and cold feel.

Thanks...I may try your idea tonight.
Basically, I think it is quite well balanced since the top of the poster and the bottom have nearly the same amount of the space. Also, I plan to put an really transparent illustration of a person looking down at the bottom left, to slightly spice up the poster. There is so many things I can do with this "emo" lol poster...(*maybe I'll slab a really emo version of Harry Potter:P on my poster)

that wave kinda thing in the sky looks odd to me... In center there is too much bright area... And character posture looks a bit odd as shoulder goes off balance..
Otherwise I really like the idea and design..

Lol, thanks...I actually get over it now, back to normal...still it's always a pain whenever I think again.
Good to hear you like those lines, is actually a rip off from a lens flare effect in photoshop. Well, I still keep the line but I did turn down the opacity alot, so it looks more elegant.
I just realized I really like the "elegant" word:ponder:

Wow, if you didn't mention I never notice my shoulder is off balanced. Yup, that guy in the middle is actually my photo(My shoulder is actually look a bit tilted due to carrying heavy stuff on one shoulder in a long term...)
Yeah, I didn't mean to make a normal sky, it does looks odd since there is no sky looks like a sonic boom. I made this effect on purpose to show the "infinite" feeling of loneliness. It just came out wave by wave...and it never stop...
Well, thats what I'm trying to explain through the image, but what's in your mind when you look at my poster is the other thing again...oh well...lol...
Actually, my first design of that sky is even brighter and it looks nearly like crystal blue, I turn down a lot of it's lighting, if I turn down more...the tree and the character will not be that enhanced. And, I'm not making a night scene, instead...I'm making dusk.
