WIP my first 3d character

I am learning to model 3d stuff right now and I wanted to start with a character so here it is. Between I am also working on a robot which is also wip (it will have another thread)

I did this in 3dsmax6 and am still working on it. I am targetting a semi cartoon /real type of character (i.e. following some anatomical rules). Didnt use any reference, I had some idea of what I wanted and I started directly in 3dsmax. I have still to refine some area in the mesh, but right now i am eager to finish other body parts.

I am planning a short animation on this character later.

lol ooh really? I will refine the basic shape and it will be changed when I add teech and other details..

If you're going for a horror movie/animation, don't. Because I'll never watch it. Scary Movie 3 creeped me out, so I don't even want to think about a real horror movie.

Woow, that is CERTAINLY scary. Maybe some more lips would do great, especially when you look it in profile. A tiny bit more depth, else extremly great!! :D :)

Esherido: I hate horrors to, but i tried to overcome my fear by starting with "The Shining" (The old movie with... CrEePy Jack Nicholson)... It seriusly freaked me! Luckily i saw it with a friend... But still... Those twins in blue skirt! ARG!

hehe I am getting stuck into the character modelling thing- and I must say- it is a fine art :D!

This crazy duck was teh first model I made (character) he is rigged and has blends for facial expressions and things :)

Hey that's a good one dm. I like the way he has a exaggerated features, looks funny :) And it's great it's rigged, and expression controls :D

I feel it could have been funnier dont know how :)

My opinions:
I think you should use cartoon eyes.
I would also try leveling eyebrow bump and noseline (for experiment)

I have some updates on this work. I was delayed by some other work and drawing classes.

I modelled hand and already stared extruding heap and bottom part of body. I will post more updates when I am done with legs.

I still want to add details to face and hand, but let;s see how much time I have got for that..
