Illustrator stopped allowing me to use .5 increments

I am trying to resize a box using the transform pallette. But when I input lets say 10.5 it rounds up to 11. I need my measurements precise and I am not sure what changed but this is killing me. I think I or someone else had this problem a while ago but I cannot find the thread. Anyone know how I can fix this?

Bleh!!...I figured it out, you can delete the preference file (hold alt+cntrl+shift while illustrator is starting) and that seems to fix it.. Stupid pref file!
