I know its been asked b4, just cant find the thread!!
I want to render in cinema without a black background, how do u do it? I want a white background instead!!
Any ideas? thanks.

render using a floor!! , and set your camera at a angle that your camera cannont see the horizon!!

Just throw in a sky object and it will render as a white background.

why not change the enviornment settings? thats what you do in max,,,

i did the sky thing eg, but ive relaised the rendering comes out diffrent. Like with the sky it adds its own lighting and stuff so it wrecks the initial render that i want if u get me.
Like wifout the sky it looks good, just hate the black bground. I add the sky and its way too bright!!

Well the only way I know that will retain the original render is to manually remove the black background in photoshop which is what I do.

isent there a way to turn off illumination by the environment?

soulty- use your own environment set (in the textures)
as for the cinema 4d, i use a white background element with 100% illumination, which doesnt affect my scene
