View Full Version : Photoshop cutting out a image

Hi im new to photoshop and i want to cut a head of a picture i dont want any of the background just the head and i want to save it and then import it into macromedia flash mx 2004.

can someone tell me how to do this? thank you

LOTS of different ways to do that, lots of tutorials out there for that...Here are a few:

I usually use a combination of extract & masking or (if I have to be very exact) using the pen tool to make a path.

Be sure to put the cutout of your head on a transparent background and save it as a PNG file to keep the transparency when you bring it into flash, otherwise, you'll have a big white square around your image...
