I thought this was something kirupaVille was lacking... It's designed for a 2x2 plot.
Comments?

Hm... after some reconsideration, I've added a desert/sandy ground texture.

Thats hella detailed, I want to see if itll match kVille's other styles or not.

So... too detailed you're saying? I was wondering that myself earlier, but then I decided it wasn't. I think my main issue is getting the explosion to look 3D without using too much shading, but that's difficult because it's very convoluted, unlike the boxy forms of most of kVille.

I see what you're going for, but you need a reason for the explosion, otherwise itll look way too random with the whole kVille composition, but than again most of the other ones are random so I dont know...
For example, a military base somewhere on another piece of pixel-terrain/box right next to the explosion terrain watching it.
I'd like to see it with a gray/silver/white smoke, or some type of smoke that looks better. It just looks too black to be around something so orange.

Hm, and I kind of liked the randomness. :) I'd kind of like to leave the reasoning it as is, unless anyone has any really cool/hilarious suggestions.
I agree with you on the smoke... it looks kind of separated from the explosion. I can't really work on it anymore today, because I need to get other stuff done, but I'll get back to it either tomorrow or the next day. Thanks for the comments.

The randomness will probably work though, I just think it would be funny to see some people around it. Oh well good work on the basic explosion regardless.;
