I'm just wondering if you can see the preloader in this site. Since there's a swf that's dynamically loaded, I can't really test for it in flash.

your help is appreciated.

well.... not really. The way I had it set up, it wasn't downloading the actual movie while the preloader was playing...

evidently your content isn't *Fat* enough to even warrant a pre loader
(ie: it loads so quick that the preloader never gets to show itself) ...
...this I don't see as a bad thing (ergo: it sucketh not???)
may I suggest that you put some static image and/or text on the load screen indicating that 'loading' is taking place in/for the event that the viewer doesn't get to see your nifty progress bar ??? just a thought...
BTW: reeeeally nice work you've got there - you cheecky 'lil' Monkey You :!:

yeah, it's weird... I don't know what's going on. But anyways, I've decided that I don't really care about people with 56k modems... haha. Almost everyone has high speed connection where I live... hehe.

Yeah but it is there if one of *them* happens by ... for the rest... it don't matter
preloaders are normally set up to not show 'unless' it is necessary
...you could probably force it to show by incuding a time function (???)

Your preloader isn't working because you have it embedded on or inside another clip when instead you should have it on a frame loop on your root timeline. I made this mistake for about a year until i caught on.
By the way this is only a guess of what you did wrong, there could be something else!
