The search button with textfield must be vertically centered on the top bar, and the member login boxes & header needs some cleaning up. I think the whole header is a little too crammed up on top of the page.
On 'Articles' section, i lost the relation with rest of the page; it looks too different.

I don't know what audience you're aiming for (heh), but:
While the gun drawings on the front page are nice and simple, it gives the site a GTAIII feel. It's a cool game, but it doesn't give the page a serious feel, more like 'the gun page for mod developers'. The forum threads on your page adds to this feeling ('The 1911 is the coolest handgun ever').

I think you can add a text line under your header text to give people some more information of what this page is (like 'the online forum for gun aficionados' or sumthin'). You could also have a text to explain this on the front page. You're not dealing with the worlds most politically correct subject, so some statement of purpose is in place, i guess.

The image for Accessories is a little off though... I wouldn't consider bullets and clips as accessories to a gun - I'd put an image of scopes and lazersights there.

Overall, this page looks very much like an online forum, and since it is, you could say it's successful.

If this page really is just for drooling over guns, well... i think Freud would have a field day with it. :hitman:

It looks like a portal, design is ok, I would tidy up that banner logotype and the top nav, but I just can't get my head around this, this gun culture disturbs me.
