How can I maintain my dashed stroke on a path when I create an outline stroke? When I choose Outline Stroke from Edit/Path it makes my stroke solid :/

One way you can do it... is to select only the dashed line with the stroke around it.

Then, go up to

Object
Expand
or Expand Appearance

That basically uses a function from the pathfinder tool. Check it out! I think that should help.

Just use two strokes =)

Meh, ok I got it. I had to rasterize the layer, but to 100% vector.
