Need opinions on this site I work on.

The artistic liberty is somewhat compromised, because I work under the guidelines of my father, and his boss. Although it's mostly my father who imposes some creative restrictions...


I'd like some constructive criticism on the design of the site.
I know it's made in Frontpage and still uses tables. How I allowed myself to get stuck using Frontpage I'll never know.
I know it looks very old school. Very, very old school.

Just give me some ideas where I can try to improve the image of the site.

I should revamp the image of the site, mainly because I don't like the look of the site...


Some ideas on how I could get this site into a new age.


In case you're wondering why I chose that green, it's because it's on the logo of the company.

There is no real restriction to use that, but I'd like the site to look like the logo mainly as a matter of coherence.
I've been thinking of changing that to something better...

Also using CSS, but that might be a little hard.

It's not bad. I personally never work with family, but that's another thread. ;)

1. I find the scanline animation happening with the logo quite unnecessary.
2. The plaid background in the main content window is a bit distracting.
3. There's some weird stretching and bitmapping happening in the images, especially in "Noticias". All of the stock photos are pretty badly compressed as well.
4. There's some weird animations happening in the header, the logo blinks like something is wrong, but maybe that's intented?

This is a fine page, but it is obviously a little dated, and just needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. I'd recommend making a new version without your father looming over your shoulder, and show it to him when you've completed it so that he has less chance to make you change things. :thumb:

Remove the border from the iframe. Loose the flash header. I made this site for a friend last week in 2 hours just rip the source for a non flash type header and modify for your needs. Find something more professional for the header image and not so much white space.

The banner is being remade and shall be finished pretty soon.
Unfortunatelly I've yet to upload that unto the server.

Less white space is actually something addressed on that one.
No white scanline...

It's a bit more simple.

I'll probably have a link to it or will have made the changes to the site in order to include it pretty soon.

I'll show it off here afterwards.
