It'st almost done, still to add a few things but u get the idea. Keep in mind its in no way a master piece like most sites on kirupa. But it validates and Im pleased with it... for now. hehe

I wanted the big and simple look. Eventually each piece of work will be linked to its own profile page. when i get it hooked up to a db.

thanks :kommie:

edit.. be a good idea to add the link huh lol

Nice colours and logo but the layout does not do much for me. Your work portfolio looks dumped out on the main page, it looks a bit cluttered, I recomed moveing it to it's own specil page. Great start, you're almost there.

I like it. :thumb: It's a tiny bit boring - there aren't any distinguishing features that set it apart from the myraid other pages out there. You may want to spice it up a bit.

Additionally, I find it a little annoying that the "about/contact" thing just shoots me down to the bottom of the page and makes me scroll back up. :puzzle:

It looks good. Nice job. :D

looks like logopond but its still original, i agree with whats bieng said, its too cluttered and smashed together, you should make it all seperate. but i like the concept

to waseemdesign: I can some similar aspects to logopong. I am aming to add more art to the layout to spice it up.

to Anogar: There is a "top" link at the bottom. I should make it more noticeable so people dont get annoyed.

with regards to it being cluttered. maybe reducing the thumbnail size and increasing the spacing might help.

Yes, I think that would help a ton!

Right now, the menubar on top is just a waste. Either loose it, or divide your page into sub-pages.

Maybe you want to work a little with the header-images too (the ones who say web, gfx and so on) - at that size, they need something more, like a shadow or some gradient. Also the circles at the top and bottom - if they're supposed to look like spheres, they need more work.

dude everything looks like logopond, it's cookie cutter web 2.0 style, big footer, gill sans etc.

-----

Not a bad attempt, you should drop that font you use for the head text and try something else, thats killing it.

hmm. i think this has some promise. it's definitely a nice start. what i like:

navigation is simple and easy to understand
i immediately know what i'm looking at
markup looks pretty clean
the site doesn't try to do to much

what i would consider changing:

i don't think linking to and showing the same work in different sections is a good idea. kind of seems like you're just trying to fill up the page rather than actually providing anything worthwhile.
if you're featuring web design work, show a screenshot of the website, not just a portion. you may need to make the thumbnails bigger to achieve this
the X blank boxes are unnecessary. just don't show a box there
"Request My CV?" looks like a link, but it's not. not sure what the purpose is.
you should label what the * means in the contact form

to BWH2: the web and gfx are linked to same pages because the profile pages im creating arent finished yet.

web design work with larger thumbnails: I'm not sure wether to decrease or increase the thumbnail size, however I've noted that using web screenshots would be better.

x blank boxes: noted

"request my cv" its a space filler until i finish more artwork.

* contact form: I did have this on the contact form but took it off. Ill add it back.

Hmm..From what you have thus far I feel some of the work you've done on other sites is better than this.

Reminds me of hello kitty sorta deal for some reason :h:

It's simple, quick, though not terribly remarkable. However myself I am tired of globs and globs of whitespace. If I want a newspaper I'll go read one. Anyway, yeah, clean neat, but thoroughly unremarkable. Bring out the expression and be damned with the whitespace purists
