does anyone know if a bluetooth mighty mouse would work with a bluetooth enabled pc?
i'm gonna get an apple laptop after WWDC and i always like to have a mouse for webdesign. the bluetooth mighty mouse seems ideal. but i'd like to use it (via a bluetooth card) on a windows laptop aswell.
anyone actually use a BT mighty mouse on a pc?
thnx

I don't know why the hell you'd want it on a PC. When I worked as a print designer for a magazine we had nothing but those little pieces of crap, and I tossed mine in a drawer and brought back a real mouse from home. Almost everyone I worked with would at some point use my computer and be like... hey... that mouse feels nice! Go get a Logitech laser mouse, they're great and cheaper anyway.

No reason why it wouldn't work as long as you had bluetooth... I really don't see many mac people using the mouses anyway. Back at my tech school i walked over to the graphic arts room (all mac room), everyone there had G5's and all the other mices were laying to the left. (They had a few of those mighty mouses i remember someone was talking about them).

i was asking more about the apple BT compatability with a pc. i've used the mighty mouse and i found it better. more buttons than a regular 2 button and a multidirectional scroll.
sorry. you are quite correct, the mighty mouse is yet to have a BT incarnation. but i will probably get one when it comes out.
just for the record. i hate normal apple mice, they are useless. but the new might mouse has many more functions.

On Windows, not quite. The only advantage is the scroll wheel which I find cooler. On a Mac it has it's shortcut advantages and the etc.

Whats the problem really? If you have bluetooth installed it should detect it as a mouse. Bluetooth has a few built in things mouse keyboard microphone compatabilities. Those for the most part are reconize and run.
What mouse has just 2 button now adays lol.. even the standard microsoft mouse has side buttons.
BTW. G7 > BT Apple Mouse.

obviously, it's all preference, you'd be suprised how much faster you can be with a single button mouse after you learn how to use it effectively.

Thats like saying you'd be faster with one leg than with two

The idea that you can actually be faster with one button rather than two just makes no sense. It requires more actions (ctrl + click) instead of just one to perform many things. Besides, if you really wanted to, you don't *have* to use the right button.
For the record, the Mighty Mouse is just plain lame. It isn't even a true two button mouse - you can't press them both at the same time, and in fact you have to LIFT your left finger off of the left mouse button in order to activate the right button. It's stupid. The side buttons are almost useless, they have to be pressed at the same time, and they're in an awkward position, way back on the mouse, making them about as useful as a 10 stroke shortcut.

Oh, and further - the whole 360 degree scrolling thing - yeah, that doesn't work on a PC for any of the programs it would be nice. It works in the web browser, but Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash, nope, not supported. :thumb2:
